KT Corp. says it isn’t talking to DoCoMo
KT Corp., Korea’s largest fixed-line telecommunications operator, denied a report it is in talks to sell 20 percent of KT Freetel Co. to NTT DoCoMo Inc. DoCoMo, Japan’s largest cell-phone operator, may buy 20 percent of KT Freetel from KT, MoneyToday reported yesterday, citing unidentified industry and brokerage officials. Edaily retracted an earlier report yesterday that DoCoMo had agreed to buy the 20 percent stake. Tokyo-based DoCoMo spokesman Masanori Goto denied the company was in talks to buy a KT Freetel stake.
