Defconn and Jung to unveil girl group

Comedian Jung Hyung-don and rapper Defconn, also known as Yoo Dae-jun, will unveil their first girl group Cham Girls, which roughly translates to “real girls” in Korean. The group will be unveiled during the second season premier of their reality TV show “Hyung-don and Dae-jun’s Hitmaker” on Friday.

When they last hosted the show, Jung and Defconn put together the group Big Byung with four other K-pop singers. (The name is in reference to boy group Big Bang.) The group sings hip-hop songs with comical and wacky lyrics.

Jung and Defconn recently decided to create a girl group for the second season of the show.

Cham Girls will include Lizzy of After School, Youngji of Kara, Sohyun of 4Minute and soloist Gina. According to Big Byung, the group will sing a “cute hip-hop song.”

Defconn, who composed the song for Cham Girls, reportedly said, “This song will bring hope to people.”
