Choo Shin-soo gets fifth home run of the season

Choo Shin-soo of the Texas Rangers hit his fifth home run of the season during a game against the Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, on Wednesday.

Choo, who was assigned as leadoff and a left fielder, continued his on-base streak after being walked in the first and third inning. He was struck out at the top of the fifth inning and hit a line drive to center field in the seventh inning.

Then, getting at bat for the last time at the top of the ninth, Choo finally ended his no-hit streak. Choo hit a solo home run off of Glenn Sparkman’s fastball.

With Choo’s home run, the Rangers finished the game with a big 6-1 lead.
