Korean AI startup Rebellions attracted 165 billion won ($124 million) in its Series B funding as it attempts to chip away at the Nvidia-dominated AI chip market.
Samsung Electronics has partnered with Seoul-based AI chip designer Rebellions to develop a processor for generative AI. The processor will be produced using Samsung's 4nm manufacturing process and is expected to be developed by the end of next year.
KT held an AI chip business cooperation committee meeting on Wednesday with Rebellions, Moreh and KT Cloud, at its office building in Jongno District, central Seoul.
Rebellions, started in 2020, is a custom chip designer headquartered in Seoul. KT wants to co-develop AI chips with Rebellions for cloud services and data centers.
