The Democratic Party has assigned Rep. Min Hyung-bae to a special committee aimed at supporting strategic industries like semiconductors and batteries after forcing out Rep. Yang Hyang-ja from the committee.

The ruling party expelled Rep. Yang Hyang-ja for her handling of alleged sexual assault by her cousin, who worked in one of her offices.
