Hyundai Motor plans to build its first hydrogen fuel cell systems plant in Korea to start operations in 2028, the company's labor union claimed Tuesday.
The Finance Ministry said Thursday it has selected the southeastern city of Gyeongju as the site for a 771.6 billion won ($552.8 million) project to construct the country's largest hydrogen fuel cell power plant.
Hydrogen car registration in Korea has outpaced charging infrastructure in most of the nation.
