The number of invalid proportional representation votes from the April 10 general election reached an all-time high of 1.31 million. This is the highest number since the party voting system was first introduced in 2004.
According to the National Election Commission, People Power Party presidential candidate Yoon Suk-yeol beat his rival Lee Jae-myung of the ruling Democratic Party by the narrowest-ever margin of 247,077 votes (0.73 percent).
