Satellite to be Launched by 2005

There will be a satellite launched by the Korean government, the Ministry of Science and Technology predicted.
The current level for Korean rocket based technology is low. South Korean scientific rockets can reach a height of 138km at best. The ministry recently decided to develop a 3 stage separated scientific rocket and named its project 'Scientific Rocket Development Project'. Eventually this project will result in a rocket comprised of six smaller rockets which will be able to carry a load of 100kg- easily enough for satellite capabilities.
Doctor Chae Yon Seok of the research center for this program said. 'In the global age of technological expansion, Korea should also exploit space territory and prepare for the so called 21st century universal era. In the next generation the world will need more than 100 new satellites every year and we must be one of those nations supplying them.'
