Elderly Widow Donates 1.4 Million Dollars

A 73 year old lady who lost all her three children and is currently suffering herself from liver cancer, decided to donate all her property worth nearly 1.4 million dollars to a college on September 28.
The heroine, Kim Chi Deok, now in the Hanyang University hospital, transferred ownership of her 40-pyong land in Kangdong prefecture, Seoul, to the university.
She lost her husband 40 years ago and ran a public bath-house and restaurant by herself.
40% of the donated property will be relegated for scholarships to the university taking to commemorate her deceased first son Kim Si Back. The remaining money will also be distributed in college scholarship programs also to honor her second son who was killed in a traffic accident and her daughter who died from a disease. They will be called 'Eungsun Scholarships'.
The reason chose Hanyang as the recipient of her property is becuase her first son graduated from the University.
She said from her the bed, 'I have lived a lonely life and feel guilty towards my children and I wanted to give part of my affections to young students.'
