New Shocking Accusations Surface

The public prosecutor's office announced on October 1 that the presidential candidate of the Grand National Party(GNP), Lee Hoi Chang's secret associates asked North Korea to stage a shooting incident in front of the demilitarized zone to aid Lee's campaign against Kim Dae Jung of the National Congress for New Politics.
At present it is not known whether Lee ordered that or whether it was done by his subordinates' overzealous devotion.
The prosecutor's offince commented that Lee's associates including Oh Jeong Eun, Han Sung Gi and Jang Seok Jung decided to use the 'North Korean card' because Lee had no chance to beat then front runner Kim Dae Jung last November, and finally had contact with two North Korean economic agents in Beijing. They introduced themselves as Lee's secret secretaries and begged the agents to instigate a military shooting confrontation around the border. They believed this might be able to cause a widespread anti-Kim movement since Kim had long been suspected of being leftist by ultra-right fascists.
