Construction Industry"s Unemployed Rushing Overseas
Unemployed workers in the construction industry are now rushing to find jobs overseas.The Association for Overseas Construction(AOC) is recruiting from January 11th to 20th workers who wish to work in fields overseas .
AOC has about 1,500 available positions as of January 19, but more than 8,000 people have applied.
As of the end of November last year, unemployment had reached approximately 1.55 million persons. The construction industry has been particularly hard hit by the recession and the jobless number more than 300,000, or about 20 percent of the nation's unemployed.
A source at the AOC said, ' Those who have a lot of experience and certificates related to certain construction trades are likely to be recruited.'
