GNP Holds Mass Rally in Masan

The opposition Grand National Party(GNP) held a massive outdoor rally in Masan, South Kyungsang Province in which more than 20,000 people gathered, on the afternoon of January 24.(photo)
The rally was staged to denounce the current government's economic wrongdoings.
The ruling National Congress for New Politics(NCNP)'s members criticized the rally because they feel its only result will be the deepening of provincial ill-will between people.
The GNP will hold other rallies in the cities of Ichon and Yeoju in Kyung Ki Province on January 29 and large outdoor rallies in Kangreung, Kang Won Province and Kumi, North Kyung Sang Province.
Lee Hoi Chang, president of the GNP, said, ' It is so shameful for the current government to use the National Intelligence Service(NIS) to conduct illegal investigations.'
