Exclusive Meetings to Be Strictly Banned in Military Units

Hereafter, all exclusive meetings or gatherings organized according to specific schools or regions in military units are strictly banned.
The Ministry of Defense, on May 6, announced new guidelines, which take direct aim at restricting acts that could undermine harmony and solidarity of the military forces.
A ministry spokesman said that a regulation will also ban two people from the same region from holding a core post in succession and field
commanders will not be assigned to the area where they were born or grew up.
Under the new guidelines, soldiers' report cards will not contain information about their hometowns or alma maters.
The spokesman explained the move will work in eradicating the deep-rooted regionalism in military barracks.
