New Illicit Drugs Hit the Street

New kinds of drugs are landing in Korea from Asian countries these days causing lots of addicts.
Last year, Thai-born mixed drug Yaba debuted in Korea, and this year another Thai-made Khat and Chinese Propoxyphene are in coming into Korea
as well.
Khat is name of the grass cultivated in Thailand and Yemen and it is a chewing drug which causes monomania.
Drug makers getting out of jail recently are cooperating with Chinese residents in Korea for the distribution of the new drugs.
The Seoul district prosecutor's office on May 19 announced that it has arrested 110 drug-related criminals from January to April confiscating 11 kg of drugs.
Drug criminals all over the nation reached 2,000 persons at the same time, 40 percent more than that of last year.
