Seoul"s Unemployment Rate Decreasing

The unemlpoyment rate in Seoul is decreasing as the Korean economy has been showing signs of recovering.
According to the Seoul Branch of the National Statistical Office, Seoul's unemployment rate in April recorded 7.6 percent, down 0.9 percentage points from last march. The jobless number in Seoul amounted to 382,000, 44,000 less than that of the previous month.
Seoul's unemployment rate is lower than those of other large cities such as Busan and Taegu, which currently sit at 10.5 percent and 8.2 percent, respectively. However, it is still slightly higher than the 7.2 percent national average.
Seoul's unemployment rate has been falling for the past two months, reaching 8.5 percent in March after a yearly high of 9.3 percent last February.
