GM Resumes Car Sales in Korean Car Market

After a one-year absence, U.S.-based General Motors(GM) will resume selling its cars in the Korean car market.
GM Korea announced Sunday that sales of its luxury car, the 'Cadillac Seville 99', will commence in Korea from June 23.
GM Korea expained that the Cadillac Seville, with a 4,600 cc and 340 horsepower V-8 engine that combines Cadillac's classical beauty and a European dynamic style, is manufactured by GM to attack the world market.
The price of the Seville STS weighs in at a hefty 74 million won while the Seville SLS is 69 million won. GM plans to hold a presentation and allow 1,000 clients to test drive the car on June 23.
Allen Perriton, president of GM Korea, said that GM will unveil its cars in the Korean market because the market is the second largest in Asia.
GM withdrew from the Korean market early last year after its domestic distributor suspended business operations.
