Flood Disaster Strikes Country

The sudden heavy concentration of rain that has been falling over the country has claimed the lives of 16 people on Sunday including 5 soldiers who died when they were caught in a mudslide.
The government Sunday revealed that steady showers have been covering Seoul and surrounding areas and Kangwon Province, sweeping away 1,189 houses and over 20,000 chickens.
More than 20 roads including some in the capital have been closed, and the height of the Han River surpassed 9.25 meters, which is a caution mark.
According to government sources, Kyonggi Province, particularly, suffered numerous land slides causing the loss of 12 people's lives.
Typhoon 'Olga' is gradually heading to the northern parts of Korea, forecasting more rain on the Korean Peninsula.
It will reach the southern part of Cheju island Monday bringing high winds and heavy rains.
The hurricane has a 350-kilometer range with a speed of 15 meters per second.
