Seoul NGO Conference Wraps Up

The five-day '1999 Seoul International Conference of Non-Government Organizations(NGOs)' adopted the 'Seoul Resolution' before the closing ceremony on October 15, reflecting the outcome of numerous workshops and symposiums.
The 'Seoul Resolution' declares that NGOs will share resources, experience and energy to expand and more interweave their relationships and also strive to build good relationships with governments as well as the United Nations, while firmly securing their independence.
It also emphasized that NGOs will unceasingly work for human rights and seek transparency, while maintaining their high ideals, beliefs and values.
