Foreign firm wants to get a first listing on Kosdaq
“Our company plans to exchange technology with Korea’s small- and mid-sized companies,” Chairman Ricky Lui, 36, said in a news conference yesterday. “Then we can enter the Chinese market together.”
The company filed an application yesterday at the Korea Exchange for a preliminary review before being listed on the Kosdaq.
After an audit and review, the company could be listed on the secondary market as soon as August.
China’s Huafeng Textile International Group applied for a listing on the main Kospi exchange in December.
It is likely to be listed late next month.
3NOD Digital is not yet listed on the Chinese stock exchanges, but Huafeng Textile is traded on the Hong Kong exchanges.
3NOD Digital is located in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province in China.
According to Liu, the company has 1,000 employees.
Last year, the company had sales of 45.1 billion won ($48 million) and 4.5 billion won of net income, Liu said.
The company sold 34.6 billion won worth of speakers and 10.5 billion won in computer accessories.
The company’s exports accounted for the half of its sales, according to available data, and its market share in China is 15.6 percent.
Liu said many Chinese companies want to be listed in Korea because the stock market is large and stable.
“Information technology is well developed here,” Liu said.
