The Foundation has provided free service for 15 years.
Their 15,000th patient is a 5 month old boy Hwang Won Young who lives in Seoul's Songpa district. A month after he was born, a congenital heart disease was discovered. His parents could not afford the 3,500 dollars in medical expenses for an operation, and appealed to the Foundation.
The institute decided to fund Hwang's expenses and operated successfully on him, October 14.
The Foundation was established in 1984 to help the poor who suffer from heart problems.
A source from the organization said, 'In Korea 8,000 babies are born with heart troubles and half of them must recieve an operation and we will keep assisting those children.'
