[LETTERS TO THE EDITOR]Another view on Iraq

I just wanted to respond to the “Letter to the Editor” from Kim Ji Young yesterday. All the horror that is going on in Iraq right now is caused by the invasion of the United States and the other allies but it is in no way as horrible as the terror, death and destruction under the despicable rule of Saddam and his gang.
His rule is comparable to Kim Jong-il’s, but that’s another story.
At least some nations did something about Saddam that most other nations wouldn’t bother doing. Now, the Iraqi people have a future that is in their own hands to make what they want, something that South Korea started with back in the mid-1950s.
I do have one question: There are huge protests going on right now for a person who was murdered seeking money in an area where a war was going on. Why wasn’t there this much protest for the seven sailors murdered by North Korea two years ago?
