[LETTERS to the editor]How much for Kim’s next visit?
I read Moon Chang-keuk’s “Leave North out of elections” (Feb. 7) with interest. There was a large amount of money paid before the 2000 summit: $500 million was paid to North Korea through a subsidiary of Hyundai Corp. I’m sure when you pay this kind of money out of your pocket you need “something in return.”What is Kim Dae-jung going to pay for his next visit? The big question is whether $500 million is in a North Korean bank account in Kim Jong-il’s name.
