Yoon Song-yee, the 32-year-old executive director of SK Telecom, reportedly submitted a letter of resignation on Dec. 24 because she wants to take a break from her work.
Yoon has been dubbed a young prodigy by the public and has long been at the center of media attention because of her extraordinary career in Korea’s business world.
She earned a Ph.D. from the department of brain and cognitive sciences at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology at the age of 24.
In 2004, she became the youngest executive at SK Telecom, Korea’s top mobile service carrier, when she turned 29.
