Local citizens cheer during an event yesterday tied to the upcoming G-20 Summit, at COEX in southern Seoul, where the summit will be held on Nov. 11 and 12. Yesterday’s event - which was sponsored by the Korea International Trade Association, COEX and the Gangnam District Office - aimed to encourage locals to abide by traffic rules and put their best foot forward when visitors flood the city for the summit.

The government, civic groups and organizations are gearing up for the high-profile event, which will shine the spotlight on Korea.

Large companies including SK Telecom, Samsung Electronics and Hyundai Motor also are preparing promotional events for the summit to showcase their advanced technologies and brands. [NEWSIS]
