Published: 28 Jul. 2011, 19:41
* Hidden Valley Women’s Open
* Hidden Valley Golf Club, Jincheon, North Chungcheong
* Friday, 8:20 a.m.
After a five-week break, the second half of the KLPGA Tour starts with the Hidden Valley Open, which will offer up a 40 million won ($37,900) purse.
No golfer has emerged as a dominant force on the KLPGA this year, with all nine of this season’s events having a different winner.
Regardless, money-list leader Sim Hyun-hwa is considered a favorite. She has finished in the top 10 seven times this season. Rookie Jung Yeon-ju, 19, is also in good form. She won the Korean Women’s Open, this year’s first major and is second behind Sim in prize money.
