Keisho Shirakawa returns to the KBO with the Doosan Bears

The Doosan Bears on Wednesday announced they had signed 23-year-old Japanese pitcher Keisho Shirakawa as a temporary replacement for American pitcher Brandon Waddel, who injured his shoulder in June.
“I'm happy to join a good team, the Doosan Bears, and I'll give it my all in every game I pitch to help the team win,” Shirakawa said in a statement posted to the official Doosan Bears Instagram page Wednesday.
The Bears signed the right-hander to a deal worth 34 million won ($24,500.)
Shirakawa most recently played for the SSG Landers, also as a temporary replacement, with a 5.09 ERA and a record of two wins and two losses in five games.

Shirawaka earned 1.8 million yen ($11,500) for his six weeks in Incheon, according to the Landers in a May press release.
Temporary foreign players are eligible to earn up to $100,000 per month,
The Doosan Bears are set to face the KT Wiz at Suwon Baseball Stadium in Suwon, Gyeonggi on Wednesday as of press time.
