Passenger traffic up 5.8%
Korea’s November international air passenger traffic reached a record high partly due to more foreign visitors arriving in the country, the government said yesterday. The number of international air passengers reached 3.51 million last month, up 5.8 percent from a year earlier and the highest for November, the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs said.
The gain was fueled by the steady rise in tourists and more transfer passengers using Korean air terminals such as Incheon International Airport.
