Mexico goes crazy for Kim Jun-su

On Sept. 5, a day ahead of his concert, a celebration for Hallyu star Kim Jun-su took place at a park in Mexico City.
More than 400 fans dressed in red, the color often associated with Korea, got together to stage a 30-minute cheering squad to show their love for the K-pop singer due to perform on Sept.6.
Some fans had travelled more than 3,000 kilometers (1,860 miles) just to hold sings that read “Kiss me Jun-su.”
The event was the work of JYJ’s fan club in Mexico, which boasts more than 10,000 members.
Of these, 4,000 took part in staging the festivity a day before Kim’s concert.
While in Mexico, the press also went wild for Kim, booking him out for interviews one after another.
“Through Kim’s concert, we believe that K-pop is set to grow even bigger in Latin America,” reported El Reforma.
