Ha Ji-won donates all book proceeds
Well Made Star M announced that the star signed a contract that stipulates her book earnings will go to the children’s aid group KJ Choi Foundation and Yonsei University Health System.
A KJ Choi Foundation spokesperson said the organization will set up a “Hartist” (Ha + artist) scholarship to sponsor students who dream of careers in art.
Meanwhile, the medical institution said it will use Ha’s money for treatment of deaf and blind children.
Ha’s agency added that although the star had planned to donate a portion of the proceeds, she was moved to dig deeper.
“This Moment,” written in memoir style, made it onto the best-seller list upon launch. It took two years to complete, Ha writing it in between takes on her movie and drama sets.
Ha recently wrapped up filming “The Huntresses” - a Joseon Dynasty version of “Charlie’s Angels” set to open this year.
