Despite a recent slowdown in defections, the number of North Korean defectors has drastically increased since 2000./ 최근에는 탈북이 줄어들고 있긴 하지만 북한 탈북자의 수는 2000년 이후 급격하게 증가했다/ We understand that it is not easy for authorities to thoroughly sort out suspicious defectors since they must also protect their human rights./ 우리는 탈북자들의 인권을 보호해야 하기 때문에 당국이 의심이 가는 탈북자를 철저히 색출해내기가 쉽지 않다는 것을 이해한다/
Yet the transfer of a massive amount of personal information on tens of thousands of North Korean defectors has also posted an incredibly dangerous threat to our country./ 하지만 북한 탈북자 수만 명에 관한 많은 양의 개인 정보의 유출은 또한 우리나라에 믿을 수 없을 정도의 위험한 위협을 가져다주고 있다고 할 수 있다/ Intelligence authorities must quickly fix the government’s support systems for North Korean defectors before it’s too late./ 정보 당국은 하루 빨리 너무 늦기 전에 북한 탈북자에 대한 정부의 지원 시스템을 보완해야 한다/ It wouldn’t be a bad idea to examine our intelligence capabilities as well./ 또한 우리 정보 능력을 검토해 보는 것도 병행해야 할 것이다/
