Yoo Se-yoon will pay fine for DUI
Comedian and singer Yoo Se-yoon must pay a fine and will have his driver’s license revoked after he drove drunk to a police station, according to the Ilsan Police yesterday.The police completed their investigation on Monday after a guilty Yoo turned himself in late last month in Ilsan, Gyeonggi.
Yoo said that he was drinking into the early morning hours on May 29 with acquaintances in Sinsa, southern Seoul, and then drove 28 kilometers, or 17 miles, to Janghang-dong, Ilsan, by himself. He did not have a designated driver, contrary to previous reports.
He then ate instant noodles and drove to the police station to confess his crime. On that day, tests put his blood alcohol level at 0.118, above the legal limit.
As he admitted all wrongdoing, police said that no further investigation was necessary.
Yoo stepped down from all television programs in which he was taking part, including MBC talk show “Radio Star.” Entertainer Kim Gu-ra will replace him on that program. KBS talk show “Knee Drop Guru” will invite a different entertainer as weekly host.
The exact amount of his fine has yet to be determined.
