Stars come out for drama awards

Many local celebrities gathered for the eighth edition of the Seoul International Drama Awards yesterday at the National Theater of Korea in Jangchung-dong, central Seoul.

Suzy of girl group Miss A, right, walked down the red carpet in a skin-colored mermaid-shaped dress, escorted by actor Lee Sung-jae, her cohost at the event.

The event honors the best dramas among 225 works submitted by broadcasters from 48 different countries across Asia, Europe and elsewhere in the world. The awards were streamed live through YouTube and other portal Web sites to over 120 countries internationally.
