Hyosung adding 3 sub-brands to expand its spandex market

Hyosung, a Korean chemical conglomerate, said yesterday that it is expanding its spandex brand, Creora, by introducing three sub-brands.

The company, which has the largest market share in the global spandex market, said that it is releasing Creora Color+, Creora Black and Creora Eco-soft in a bid to enhance its brand power and emphasize the quality and function of each product to target the U.S. and European markets.

Hyosung, which introduced its spandex product in 2005, has been investing steadily in the spandex market to keep up with rising demand. According to the company, global spandex sales will rise to 8,000 tons next year, up from 1,500 tons in 2011.
