’90s singer tries making a comeback

Singer So Chan-whee is set to release a new album next month, her first in a year. Last March, So introduced a remake of “I’m Forced to Leave You,” a hit from her third album, “Another,” which was released in 1998.

This time, however, she is promising to try out a new genre: rockabilly, the wild mix of rock and country.

However, the titles of So’s new songs and album have not been announced.

Prior to her comeback, she released some images from her coming music video yesterday, filmed at a jazz club near Hongik University in northwestern Seoul.

The singer, who debuted in 1996, has released eight full-length albums. She is also well known for her popular song “Tears,” which was released in 2000 as part of her fourth album, “First Bridge.”
