FedEx-AmCham career camps puts students on the fast track

FedEx Express in Korea, the local unit of the world’s largest express transportation company, said yesterday it has completed its third career camp with Partners for the Future Foundation, the charity arm of the American Chamber of Commerce in Korea.

The camp, attended by 40 female students from universities outside of Seoul, was held Sunday through Tuesday at Hi Seoul Youth Hostel in Yeongdeungpo District, western Seoul. Four participants were selected for winter internships with FedEx Korea.

FedEx Korea Managing Director Chae Eun-mi said the company “initiated this program to help tackle the social issue of unemployment among young people.

“Our young people, with ability and potential, are an important driver of our success in today’s business,” she said.
