JYJ star in Dracula musical
Kim Jun-su of boy group JYJ has posted a self-portrait on his Twitter account Saturday to promote his upcoming musical.He posted two photos of him wearing a black shirt in a very dark lighting. Pale white makeup on his face along with thick eye lines was supposed to give a quick preview of his role as a vampire in the musical “Dracula.”
The performance will start July 17 at the Opera Theater at Seoul Arts Center in Seocho, southern Seoul.
The popular K-pop singer has worked in many different musicals to further develop his career in the entertainment industry. The producer of the musical, OD Musical Company, earlier said that it cast Kim to make its vampire more romantic.
“We needed a performer who could strip off the scary and dark characters of vampire, but add a romantic side who shows unchanging love to a woman,” said the company upon its casting in May.
