Lee Young-ae designated honorary ambassador of Asean-Korea summit
Actress Lee Young-ae will be the face of 2014’s Asean-ROK Commemorative Summit, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs yesterday.She has been designated as the honorary ambassador for the event, and the official certificate will be given to her today.
This year’s summit will be held in Busan for two days starting Dec. 11.
“About four months before the summit, we have come to designate an honorary ambassador to promote the importance of this event,” the ministry said. “Because she is very popular among people in Southeast Asia with her previous role in the drama ‘Dae Jang Geum,’ we think she will help us advertise the summit.”
Lee also said that it is an honor to represent the summit where countries’ leaders are going to attend.
