Girl’s Day to volunteer in Thailand
The four-member group will leave on Sunday to help people in need. They will contribute to a campaign that encourages local tribes to register the birth of female babies in order to protect their rights. The members of the group are honorary ambassadors of Plan Korea, an organization that supports children’s rights across the world.
“In August last year the group went to Chiang Rai [Thailand] with us for some volunteer work,” an official at Plan Korea told local media.
The official said that the members will meet four girls who have not had their births registered to see how they live and to better understand the hardships they face.
Girl’s Day will return to Korea on Thursday.
