Korea wins gold medal in Asian Games baseball

Korean national baseball team led by manager Ryu Joong-il became the back-to-back champion in Asian Games in the sport.
In the final against Taiwan held at the Munhak Baseball Stadium on Sunday, Korea beat 6-3 to claim a gold medal, winning four baseball gold medals since baseball became an Asian Games medal sport in 1994.
After overcame the no-out, runners on first and third crisis in the bottom of the seventh inning, Korea scored four runs in the next innings and Hwang Jae-gyun blasted a two-run RBI single that gave 6-3 lead for Korea. Relievers, An Ji-man, Lim Chang-yong and Bong Jung-keun closed the next two innings to end the game. Korea’s starting pitcher Kim Kwang-hyun allowed three runs in 5.2 innings as he gave up five hits and a walk while striking out five.
