GD alludes to drugs on his Instagram

Rapper G-Dragon of the male K-pop group Big Bang reportedly uploaded a photo with the word “Molly” written on it onto his personal Instagram account yesterday, only to delete it a while later, according to local media.

Molly, more widely known as MDMA or ecstasy, is a type of drug that is known to lower anxiety. Possessing the substance is illegal in Korea.

The screenshots of the photo that went viral yesterday show white powder shaped into a heart on a black background. In the middle of the heart the word “Molly” is spelled out.

As of yesterday at 8 p.m., neither the star nor his agency, YG Entertainment, had publicly mentioned the incident. Some netizens suggested he is taking drugs, while some argued that the case should be investigated by authorities.

In 2011, G-Dragon was busted by the police for smoking marijuana, which he later admitted to after testing positive for the drug.

Prosecutors suspended his indictment, citing that the police assumed he was not a regular user and that he had taken a minimal amount, according to media at the time.
