Hyundai Motor union workers approve wage agreement
Hyundai Motor said yesterday its union members approved this year’s wage agreement, which was reached on Tuesday.
The pact includes a provision to resolve the base pay issue as well as a monthly base wage increase of 98,000 won ($92).
Of the 43,665 union workers who voted on Wednesday, 22,499, or 51.53 percent, approved the tentative agreement. It needed more than 50 percent approval from the union for passage.
