Samsung Electronics will be auctioning off its 78-inch curved UHD TV, which has been painted in gold lacquer by Korean artist Hong Sung-yong, at Christie’s in Hong Kong. The artist named the piece “Memory of TV.” The auction will start Nov. 20. The company said the proceeds from the sale will be donated to global NGO Orbis, whose mission is to improve access to high-quality eye treatment to help prevent blindness.
