JTBC, a broadcasting affiliate of the Korea JoongAng Daily, signed a brand and contents deal with FOX International Channels (FIC) on Tuesday for its new sports channel.

The JTBC3 FOX Sports will showcase sports content including local sports starting this Saturday. The channel will first broadcast the EAFF East Asian Cup football tournament in China this weekend and air international sports matches such as the German Bundesliga, Formula One auto racing and major tennis tournaments.

“With JTBC’s capability and know-how and FIC’s powerful content, together we will bring to this new venture a unique synergy,” JTBC President Kim Su-gil said in a press release.
