Erine, Minha leave K-pop girl group 9Muses

Erine and Minha from 9Muses announced their plan to leave the girl group on Wednesday.

The two singers posted a handwritten letter on the group’s official online forum to inform their fans of the news.

The two members decided to leave after their contracts with the entertainment company, Star Empire, expired.

“The official schedule has been completed as of May 26, 2016,” wrote Erine. “I am very grateful to my loving fans that have shown affection toward 9Muses.”

She expressed how sad she felt about leaving the group and promised to develop into a more mature person in the near future.

Minha also wrote that she wishes to return to the public as a more developed person through studying, hinting at a new career path.

9Muses is a female group that debuted in 2010 with the single “Let’s Have a Party.” The group has received much attention since their debut for the members’ model-like looks. A few of their hit songs include “Hurt Locker,” “Sleepless Night” and “Dolls.”
