[Sponsored Report] Shanghai race focuses on women’s health issues

To raise global awareness of women’s health, AmorePacific held “Jasmine Running (Moli Pao),” a marathon, on Apr. 10 at the Shanghai Oriental Sports Center.

“Jasmine Running” is the first marathon held in China focused on raising awareness of women’s health. It is the international version of AmorePacific’s “Pink Ribbon Love Marathon,” a major festival held as a part of the Pink Ribbon Campaign for 16 years.

The marathon, held overseas for the first time, attracted some 3,000 participants with a shared interest in women’s health. More activities were available indoors after the marathon to emphasize the importance of preventing breast cancer and cervical cancer, which are commonly found among Chinese women.

AmorePacific donates entry fees from the marathon and the profits from the charity bazaar which was held one month prior to the main event to supporting the prevention of breast cancer and cervical cancer in Chinese women, as well as their recovery from medical procedures.

Meanwhile, AmorePacific established the “AmorePacific Women’s Fund” in cooperation with the China Women’s Development Foundation in February 2016 in an effort to strengthen social contribution activities in China and use their position as a global company to attract interest and attention to women’s health issues.
