Baseball cut from 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris

Before it can even make its return, baseball has been cut from the 2024 Paris Olympics.
After the 2008 Beijing Olympics, baseball was excluded from the Games, but it was added again for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
However, because baseball is not a popular sport in Europe, the Paris 2024 organizing committee has chosen not to recommend adding baseball to the 2024 Games, along with softball and karate. Although bats may not be swinging in Paris, it is likely that the sport will be included in the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.
In their replacement, the Paris 2024 organizing committee recommended four sports - break dancing, surfing, climbing and skateboarding - to the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Surfing, climbing and skateboarding will be making their debut at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
