Tigers’ Yang takes to the mound at spring training

Kia Tigers’ pitcher Yang Hyeon-jong made his first start of the year during the club’s spring training game against an individual league team at Fort Myers in Florida on Tuesday.

Throughout two innings, Yang tossed 22 pitches and allowed two hits and one unearned run.

Yang had his bullpen pitching on Feb. 19 and is expected to slowly increase the number of innings and pitches. As a starting pitcher, he is expected to appear on the mound every five days to get his condition up to level for the start of the 2020 season.
