Some of Seoul's diverse wine bars and restaurants have been added to Swedish website Star Wine List, which introduces special spots around the world to enjoy a glass of wine and a bite to eat.

Among 33 cities in 23 different countries, Seoul was featured as one of 17 new additions this year.

Bars and restaurants in Sydney, Shanghai, Vienna, Mendoza in Argentine, Lima in Peru and Osaka in Japan are some of the many included.

Highlighted spots in Seoul range from fine dining restaurants L’Impression to Mingles in southern Seoul’s Gangnam District and more casual spots like Somm J Wine Bar in southern Seoul’s Seocho District as well as Wildduck Canteen in central Seoul’s Yongsan District. The list also features places to enjoy natural wine.

The website's ambassadors are Kim Dong-hun and Ida Kymmer and they worked together to make some lists for Seoul. And aside from highlighted recommendations, the Swedish website also includes a section showcasing interviews with Korea's wine scene experts.

Sommelier Larkmi Jung, who is also the manager of Restaurant Evett that's led by an Australian chef, was the first to be interviewed about her insights on trends within the Korean wine world.
