The 25th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) is going forward with its plans to host the event from Oct. 21 to 30 and started selling tickets online from Thursday, 2 p.m.

Ticket reservations can be made through its website (www.biff.kr) or its app until Oct. 30. As a precautionary measure and to adhere to social distancing guidelines, offline ticket booths will be available this year.

The scale of this year’s film festival was drastically scaled down due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The festival will not host any kind of offline events except for film screenings — including its opening and closing ceremony — and the films will be screened only once per film at the Busan Cinema Center.

A total of 192 films from 68 countries will be screened this year.
