Porsche Korea said Tuesday it has donated 500 million won ($453,000) to the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture (SFAC) and launched a campaign to support the local culture and arts community.

As part of its flagship social responsibility campaign branded “Porsche Do Dream,” Porsche Korea and SFAC will try to foster an environment for the performing arts.

The campaign will then expand to supporting collaborative projects between artists and Seoul’s eco-friendly bike-sharing platform Ttareungi.

“With the increasing number of community members who suffer from the prolonged expansion of Covid-19, we sincerely hope that this support for the culture and art will be of some help,” said Holger Gerrmann, CEO of Porsche Korea.

“Artists are one of the main cornerstones of the society, keeping the social fabric alive, creating dreams and encouraging creativity. Especially in times of social distancing, we need to make sure these pillars remain and we hope that this contribution will help to keep their dreams alive.”

Porsche Korea’s “Do Dream” campaign was initiated in 2017 and donated a total of 1.6 billion won to various fields including education and sports.
